Several years ago, my dad started a tradition of lighting a Christmas star on the mountains near his home. He hikes the steep trail each night from December 10th until January 1st, usually with several friends, neighbors, and family members in tow. Tonight I finally made it up there with my sister Erika. Such a beautiful view of the Salt Lake Valley from the top!
